Naturhouse enters India, the world’s third biggest market in terms of overweight population numbers
Barcelona, 19 July 2016.-Naturhouse, a company specialising in the sale of diet products and dietary re-education, has taken a further step in its international growth strategy by entering India. With the opening of this new market, Naturhouse is now present in 32 countries.
India, with GDP growth of more than 7.5% in recent years and a population of 1.25 billion people, is the third-ranked country after the United States and China in terms of overweight population numbers. In fact, it is estimated that India already has around 225 million inhabitants who are overweight.
Naturhouse’s arrival in the Indian market takes place through a master franchise agreement for Western India with local company Nutrim LTD, owned by businesspeople Rajesh Arun Desai, HemlataMishra and Beeharry
RohanRahulKapur. Through this agreement, Naturhouse expects to open a total of 34 new stores. The master franchise agreement is the formula selected by the company when operating in markets that recommend this model due to their socioeconomic conditions.
This new market is another step forward in the company’s intense process of expansion and international growth, with operations in 32 countries via 2,160 centres. With its entry into India, three master franchise agreements have been signed in 2016 (Hungary and Malta), with Naturhouse planning to open 98 centres.
